Beautiful Fall!

I’m hoping to finish up today, posting more “while we were waiting for you” happenings so I can get current with all that’s going on with the adoption!  We are anticipating our December travels to Ethiopia when we will meet our daughter and have a chance to love on all the kiddos at Hannah’s Hope.

This fall season has been beautiful!  The older boys spent their Saturday mornings as  referees for the YMCA soccer program. DSC01870DSC01869

Dan enjoys all sports, but has especially liked learning the skills of the game.  He played again this year in the teen league!

The Tigers’ coach (A.K.A. DAD!), was happy with the progress his team made throughout the season.  This was Luke’s third year on the field and he continues to learn new skills AND have a great time with his buds!

Apple picking is just one more tradition we can’t wait to share with our daughter.  The apples always taste the best freshly picked from the tree! We missed the older boys because they were playing soccer but we headed out to the orchard for this season’s last day of picking.

Happy Birthday to Josh and Luke.  We celebrated with family, good food, and fellowship.

Abbey and her friend, Josh, joined us on skype.  Yeah! Josh finally got texting.  All this technology!   How did I survive my teen years without it!???!  :) The boys’ cake delicious “Holy Cow” cake was from this cookbook.
