We are blessed!

As I reflect back on this past summer through the posting of these photos and events, I once again realize how blessed we are.  How fortunate many of us are to be born in a country that affords us the luxury of knowing what a vacation looks like, to be able to treat ourselves to a special meal, to quickly meet our needs (and wants) of hunger and thirst, and the list goes on… I’m humbled and so thankful for all the above, but my heart also grieves for the many of us, who despite all the “manna”  and then some…in our lives, experience ungratefulness. I pray that as I continually reflect back on the many blessings in my life, my thankfulness and appreciation increase!
The summer continued with a few more trips to Lake Erie and the Amish Community. summer 10 031summer 10 209summer 10 055The kids were busy picking veggies from our garden AND “selling” them at their home market!! The bean teepee was a hit again this year!
Beautiful flowers are always a reminder to me of the potential that we all have!  It’s hard believe that from a tiny seed planted in the dirt, these tall, colorful and brilliant flowers can grow.  Water and sunshine allow these seeds to reach their potential and in turn bless us with their beauty. Again, just like these plants and flowers, all God’s children have “POTENTIALITY. “
Our church community was fortunate to host the Children of The World Choir.  This video clip posted from another church on YouTube exemplifies the fact that we are all “a promise…with potential.”
Are we “learning to hear God’s voice?”
This was the first time our family experienced the Cleveland Air show.  We were very grateful to a friend who gave us special passes for the day. From the Blue Angels in flight to the fun times with friends this was a day to remember!
Our Labor Day weekend tradition usually includes the Canfield Fair, but this year brought another “temporary change to tradition”-The Geauga County Fair with friends.
As summer concluded we eagerly anticipated the arrival of our friends’ newest addition to their family. What a joy to welcome home ERICA!!!summer 10 285
YES,WE ARE BLESSED!
