“Just June Jovial Memories!”

The day after posting our May update, Hermela took off on two wheels!

Big sis, Bekah, not only taught Hermela to ride a two wheeler, but a few years back, was the one who worked patiently with Luke on his two wheeling solo!

Looks like a new “birthday bike” is in store for Hermela’s NEXT WEEK celebration.

Hermela saw her first Great Lake! After an ice cream treat, the family headed to Lake Erie to see the sunset.

Slip’n slide was the next adventure, as we embraced SUMMER in northeast Ohio.

A large piece of plastic and some soap (for added speed!) and you have a great afternoon activity!

VBS 2011 was another new experience for Hermela. 

She and I took a day off to be with mem and pep.  They drove in from MA to see their 12th grandchild for the first time!

Throughout the years, our kids have received afghans made by my Memere. She passed away a couple of years ago, but Aunt Dee and cousin Patti wanted Hermela to have one of the afghans too!

After months of saving, big brother Josh joined the family of Mac users!

Lots of fun on our first day YMCA Outdoor Family Center! I’m sure we”ll spend many more days here.

Hermela wasn’t too sure about the big slide, but loved the water.

The kids and I planted a tree, shrub and some flowers on our new mound in the front yard.

We thought it was neat that our new little tree is called a “Big Cis” Plum and big sis planted it! :)

We hope to gradually add more perennials to the mix.

Hermela enjoyed planting her own pink flower. Her buddy Bailey is often by her side!

While mom was packing for vacation, the kids cooled off in the family pool!

Dan made the cross in our backyard! Great job, big bro!

The last of June was spent traveling to DC for a brief visit to our nation’s capital and then on to the beach! More on our family vacation and Hermela’s first time at the ocean next!

Although it seems so difficult to find the time to upload photos and write, this time of blogging some of our family memories, has once again, made me realize how blessed we are!
