After a comment we over heard of how she gets bigger in Tigray (Ethiopia), but "no party" we decided to have a family celebration for her "first" birthday in America!
Her bike basket was filled with little treasures from her siblings.
We continued in the "party mode" with a celebration at the YMCA Outdoor Family Center! This was a fun family day and a way to thank those who have traveled along this adoption road with us.
Hermela wasn't too sure why we would buy such a nice pinata and then just break it apart. After we showed her pictures from her siblings' past birthdays, she decided it looked like fun.
