New River Gorge in West Virginia was a new experience for all of us as we headed home from our beach trip. Being awaked from her slumber, Hermela wasn’t too sure about this little excursion…at first. This was the site from the visitor’s lodge, then we hiked down for another view.
We were hot, but sure did enjoy the sites of the gorge!
It is the highest vehicular bridge in the Americas and the second highest vehicular bridge in the world. Cool info!
We arrived back home, unpacked and ate our traditional Chinese takeout “after returning home supper.” The kids were still in the 4th of July spirit and wanted to show Hermela the sparklers.
She didn’t want anything to do with them, until big sis promised her she wouldn’t get burned.
After the magnificent 4th of July fireworks at the beach, it’s great how simple sparkers can still be so much fun!
Another memorable day this summer for all!
